Google brings AI music generation directly into the Gemini app with its new Lyria 3.5 model
Google releases its Lyria 3.5 music generation model in the Gemini app and via API. According to Google, Lyria 3.5 delivers more expressive vocals and richer musical arrangements than its predecessor. Users can pick genre and style in the Gemini app, choose between vocals and instrumentals, and create short or longer tracks. Templates for background music or personalized birthday songs are designed to help new users get started.
Beyond the Gemini app, Lyria 3.5 is also available in Google Flow Music with added features, in Google AI Studio for developers, and in Google Vids . Google says the Lyria model was trained only on licensed content , unlike Suno's music model . The company hasn't shared any specifics about what training data it actually used.
